JAC is licensed under Article 33.1 of the Employment Security Act to provide free employment placement services.
This service is designed for:

  • People who want to work under the "Specified Skilled Worker" status of residence, who are looking for a construction company that is seeking to hire specified skilled workers.
  • People working under the "Specified Skilled Worker" status of residence, who are looking for a new company to work.

We also handle job information from companies that would like to hire specified skilled workers.

Regulations in the Employment Security Act forbid employment placement by general private sector fee-charging employment placement agencies for construction jobs (work involving construction, remodeling, preservation, repair, alteration, destruction, or demolition of civil engineering structures, buildings, and other structures, and tasks relating to preparation for such work). Agencies are prohibited from asking for feesfor introducing a job or a worker. Please contact us if you are approached with a request for such fees.

Information for people seeking work in Japan as specified skilled workers

The following people are eligible to apply to JAC for assistance in finding specified skilled work in Japan:

  1. 1. People who are expected to complete Technical Intern Training (ii) or (iv) or non-Japanese construction workers (designated activities) who wish to continue to work in Japan.
  2. 2. People who have passed both the skills evaluation exam and the Japanese language test
  3. 3. Specified skilled workers who want to change jobs
  4. 4. Specified skilled workers whose employment contract has been terminated due to circumstances at their employer
