The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam will be held on July 9 and 10, 2025 at the RCC Cultural Center in Hiroshima. This evaluation test will be conducted in accordance with the The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam for Construction Industry Implementation Guidelines established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and will be conducted through academic tests and practical examinations.

Jobs covered by the exam

Civil engineering No. 1, architecture No. 1, lifelines and facilities No. 1, civil engineering No. 2, architecture No. 2, lifelines and facilities No. 2 (6 categories)
*You cannot take multiple exams at the same time. You can only take the exam for one exam of your choice.

Exam Dates

Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Thursday, July 10, 2025
*You cannot take the exam on multiple days including other regions. You can take the exam on the day of your choice.
*A check-in time will be specified for each examinee. You must arrive at the designated time to be able to check in. If you are late for the check-in time, you will not be able to take the exam.

Exam Capacity

Approximately 40 people per day across all 6 categories (approximately 80 people in total over both days)
*If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, you may not be able to take the exam.

Exam Fee

1,000 yen
*Please pay in cash at the reception.

June 13th (Friday) to July 4th (Friday) 2025, 12:00 noon

How to apply

Apply via smartphone.
Install the smartphone app "JAC Members" and register an account.
Once you log in, please apply by following the instructions on the screen.

What to bring on the day

① Certificate

    • * For residents, residence card
    • * temporary entrant do not have a residence card must have a passport.
      *Must be the original. Copies will not be accepted for the exam.

② Examination ticket

    • The receipt will be sent to your "JAC Members" message, so please show it on your smartphone or other device on the day.

③ Examination fee: 1,000 yen in cash

If you do not bring it with you on the day, you will not be able to take the exam.

*You are not allowed to share items with other test takers. Please prepare your own items.

Announcement of results

You will receive a message from "JAC Members" approximately two weeks after the exam.
If you pass, the pass certificate will be sent to "JAC Members".
the pass certificate is a PDF file, so please keep it in a safe place.
We cannot answer inquiries regarding the content of the exam questions or individual pass/fail results.

Textbooks and reference materials for The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam

Textbooks and sample questions for the theory and practical sections of the No. 1 and No. 2 exams are available for each of the three sections: civil engineering, architecture, and lifeline/facilities.
