FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

If I take special education or skills training at a company that accepts Specified Skilled Worker, will I be eligible for JAC's support project?

JAC's support project is a support project for companies that have paid a Specified Skilled Worker acceptance fee.

We accept Specified Skilled Worker and Technical Intern Training students, are there any requirements to apply for a grant from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare?

Subsidies from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare for the cost of special education and skill training courses require that the accepting company is a company that is enrolled in employment insurance. (For more information, please see the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare website.)

For the special education and skills training courses covered by JAC's support program, are any subjects taken eligible for the program?

Whatever special education or skills training courses the accepting company requires, they are covered by JAC's support program. However, this only applies to businesses that have applied for a subsidy to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare for the cost of the courses and received a notice of grant approval.

Is it possible for a company to have multiple Specified Skilled Worker take multiple skills courses?

Although there are restrictions on the acceptance of Specified Skilled Worker by companies, there are no restrictions on the number of courses or the amount of training or other training for the Specified Skilled Worker they accept. However, when applying for a subsidy to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the tuition fee for one course exceeds 100,000 yen is not eligible. The upper limit of this subsidy must be confirmed by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. In addition, the maximum amount of payment for a company is up to 5 million yen (2024 degrees) in a single year.

After I apply for a support project with JAC, how long will it take for the support money to be paid?

Generally, you can expect it to take about one month for the document (PDF) you submit by email to be reviewed and confirmed before payment is made.

If I have applied for a grant using Construction Technology Form No. 3, can I also apply for a support project to JAC?

JAC's support projects are limited to those that have received a subsidy decision notice from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, so please apply to JAC after receiving this notice.

Will I be eligible if I applied for a grant at the end of last fiscal year and received notification of grant approval after the start of this fiscal year?

Since it may take time for the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to make a grant decision, we intend to consider last year's business results as eligible for this year's JAC support program if you have received this year's grant decision notice. Please check the date of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's grant decision notice once again, even if the results of last year's skill training courses, etc. are from this year, and if they are from this year, please apply for the support program to JAC.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's notification of grant decision states that amounts under 100 yen are not eligible, so how should I claim from JAC?

The support project expenses to JAC are subject to the support project, excluding the amount stated in the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's grant decision notice. Even if the amount is less than 100 yen, it is considered an expense eligible for JAC's support project, so please claim the project expenses.

Will the support project not be approved if the documents are written incorrectly?

At JAC, we will review and confirm your application after receiving it. If there are any errors in the information provided, we will contact the person in charge and re-examine it if you correct the errors.
