[Important] The system for acceptance support services will be partially changed from June 1, 2026.

Changes to the "Qualification Acquisition Incentive Program"

This system has been operated for the purpose of improving the skills of Specified Skilled Worker, but based on the fact that certain results have been achieved due to the increase in the number of candidates and successful candidates for exams, etc., we will shift our focus to "support companies after the transition to No. 2" from June 1, 2026, and change the payment amount to a flat rate of 50,000 yen (for the time being).

Main changes

Changed the target of support to companies after the transition of Specified Skills personnel to No. 2

The payment amount will be changed to a uniform 50,000 yen (for the time being).

Important points to note regarding changes

This applies to certificates issued on or after June 1, 2026.

The current system will remain in effect until the end of May, so please check the information below.

Changes to the "Temporary Return Support" system

Specified Skilled Worker provides a certain amount of support for the cost of temporarily returning to the home country, Temporary Return Support Program will revise the level of support as follows to maintain fairness in the burden as a subsidy for a certain amount of actual expenses, which varies greatly depending on the destination and peak season.

Main changes

A flat fee of 50,000 yen will be paid upon re-entry into Japan (the limit of two entries per person will remain in place).
