Obtain a certificate (for exams taken outside Japan)
After you pass an exam taken outside Japan, you must give your certificate to the company you plan to enter. You must obtain this certificate from JAC.
Please complete the Certificate Application in the JAC Members smartphone app to obtain a certificate.
You will need to have installed the JAC Members smartphone app and have registered your account in advance.
Refer to "Register Account (JAC Members)" for how to install the app and how to create your account.
Certificate application procedure
Please refer to "Register Account (JAC Members)" if you have not installed the smartphone app or do not have an account.
*Exam information is your Prometric ID, examinee's number, exam location such as country and city, as well as the exam date, and exam category in the Prometric Confirmation Letter.
Step1.
Login to "JAC Members"
1-1. Display login screen
Tap the "JAC Members" icon.
If you do not know your email address,
go to "I forgot my registered email address for "JAC Members"".
If you have do not know your password,
go to "I forgot my registered password for "JAC Members"".
1-2. Login to JAC Members
Enter your email address and password on the JAC Members login screen.
Tap [Login].
The JAC Members home screen will appear.
Step2.
Enter your information on the "Issue Pass Certificate" screen
2-1. Tap "Issue Cert" on the menu
Tap "Issue Cert" on the menu at the bottom.
2-2. Enter your information on the "Issue Pass Certificate" screen
Enter the information of the passed exam such as that stated in the "Confirmation Letter" issued by Prometric. Some details can be selected.
Enter your Prometric ID.
ex. prm123456
Enter registration number Including hyphens (-) and other symbols.
ex. 234875
Enter text in alphabetic characters, hiragana, or katakana.
ex. Indonesia
Select the date you took the exam from the calendar.
5. Exam NameSelect the category you took the exam for from the options.
2-3. Take a photo of your face
Tap the 
icon in the "Take photos of your face" area. An explanation of important points will appear. Please read the explanation carefully. Tap the [Start] button to take a photo.
On the "Check your face photo" screen, check "I checked that my photo was clear". Tap the [OK] button. Then you can register the photo.
(Applications may not be approved if the photo is not taken properly.)
(Photos cannot be accepted if any of the following apply.)
Bad photo image.
Wearing masks, earphones, sunglasses, etc.Glasses are OK.
Wearing a mask on your chin.
Wearing a hat or helmet.
Out of focus.
Photos are taken without clothing.
Take a photo of your face in the dark.
People or things are reflected in the background.
Face is turned sideways.
Please take a photo that clearly shows your face.
2-4. After you have entered everything, tap [Next]
After you have entered your information and taken a photo, tap [Next].
Step3.
Check details and apply
3-1. Check the application details on the "Issue Pass Certificate" screen
Check the application details on the "Issue Pass Certificate" screen. If there are no errors in your application details, tap [Apply].
If you need to correct your application details, tap [Back] and correctly enter your information.
Step4.
Application acceptance completed
4-1. Check you have received the Notice of Completion of Certificate Application
If the certificate application was sent correctly, the "Notice of Completion of Certificate Application" will appear in the [Message List] of the JAC Members app.
The "Issue pass certificate" process will now be complete.
Please wait for the certificate to be issued.
Step5.
Receive the certificate
5-1. Issue the certificate
When the certificate is issued, you will receive "Notice of Issue of Certificate" message in the Message List of the JAC Members app.
Download the certificate from the "Message Details" screen.
