When changing smartphone (Changing device information) (JAC Members)

If you have changed your smartphone, you must make a "Device Information Change Request" in the "JAC Members" smartphone app to continue using the app.

Changing device information procedure

Follow the procedure below to change your device information if you have changed your smartphone device, reinstalled the JAC Members app, or deleted the app's data.

Please have your passport ready.

*If you are using another form of identification, please refer to "I have changed my smartphone but do not have a passport. How can I make a Device Information Change Request?".

Step1.
Open the "Your Smartphone Information" screen

1-1. Display login screen

Tap the "JAC Members" icon.

1-2. Open the "Your Smartphone Information" screen

Log in using your registered email address and password.

The "Your Smartphone Information" screen will appear.

Step2.
Enter information on the "Change Device Information" screen

2-1. Open the "Change Device Information" screen

Tap [Change Device Information] on the "Your Smartphone Information" screen.

2-2. Open the "Change Device Information" screen using a passport

You can use this method to change your device information using your passport as your identification.
If you will use another form of identification, please refer to "I have changed my smartphone but do not have a passport. How can I make a Device Information Change Request?".

If you don't have residence card, tap "tap here".

2-3. Enter information on the "Change Device Information" screen

Enter your name and select your date of birth and nationality.

① Name

Enter your name.

② Date of Birth

Select your date of birth from the calendar.

③ Nationality

Select your nationality.

2-4. Open the "Take photos of Passport" screen

When you select "Passport" under "Take photos of identification", the "Take photo of passport" area will appear.

2-5. Take a photo of your passport

Tap the icon in the "Take photos of Passport" area.
Take a photo of the information page with your face photo and name.

★Good photos

・Characters can be read clearly.

★Bad photos

・It's glowing and you can't recognize faces or letters.

2-6. Take a photo of your face

Tap the camera iconicon in the "Take photos of your face" area. An explanation of important points will appear. Please read the explanation carefully. Tap the [Start] button to take a photo.

On the "Check your face photo" screen, check "I checked that my photo was clear". Tap the [OK] button. Then you can register the photo.

If the photo is not good, tap [Retake] to take another one.
(Applications may not be approved if the photo is not taken properly.)

(Photos cannot be accepted if any of the following apply.)

  1. Bad photo image

  2. Wearing masks, earphones, sunglasses

  3. Wearing a mask on your chin

  4. Wearing a hat or helmet

    Wearing a hat or helmet.

  5. Out of focus

    Out of focus.

  6. Photos are taken without clothing

    Photos are taken without clothing.

  7. Take a photo of your face in the dark

    Take a photo of your face in the dark.

  8. People or things are reflected in the background

    People or things are reflected in the background.

  9. Face is turned sideways

    Face is turned sideways.

  10. Please take a photo that clearly shows your face

    Please take a photo that clearly shows your face.

2-7. Go to the confirmation screen

After you have entered all your information and taken a photo, tap [Next].

Step3.
Check details and apply

3-1. Check your details

If there are errors, tap [Back] to return to the previous screen.

3-2. Apply

Tap [Apply] if your details are correct.
"Complete to Apply for Changing" will appear. Tap [OK] and close the app.

Step4.
Use the app with your new smartphone

4-1. JAC will approve your request

You will receive a message from JAC when the Device Information Change Request has been approved.
The home screen will appear as it is on the right when you log in again.
(It may take some time for the Device Information Change Request to be approved.)
