Q&A
09. What to do after accepting foreign workers
- Please tell me about the procedures after accepting Specified Skilled Worker (i).
-
In principle, the host company is required to report to the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism using the "Acceptance Report" (online) within one month after accepting the Specified Skilled Worker (i).
After that, it is necessary to have the accepted Specified Skilled Worker (i) take a post-acceptance course designated by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. If you do not take the course, you will be treated as not meeting the certification requirements of Specified Skilled Worker Acceptance Plan in the construction field.
If you have not submitted a copy of your Construction Career Advancement Card when applying for Specified Skilled Worker Acceptance Plan in the construction field certification, please also submit a copy of your Construction Career Advancement Card.
In addition, if the accepted Specified Skilled Worker returns to Japan, changes jobs to another company, or becomes unable to continue employment due to bankruptcy, it is also necessary to report it to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism online.

- What is the "Post-Acceptance Course"?
-
The "Post-Acceptance Course" is to provide information on the relevant foreign protection mechanisms, such as the itinerant guidance and mother tongue consultation hotline, to No. 1 Specified Skilled Worker, and to confirm with the person whether there are any double contracts or false applications. If fraud is found, it will be dealt with strictly, including revoking the Specified Skilled Worker Acceptance Plan in the construction field 's certification.
Hosting companies that have received Specified Skilled Worker Acceptance Plan in the construction field certification from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism are required to take this course within approximately six months after accepting the Specified Skilled Worker.
For this course, the Appropriate Employment Supervision Agency (Ichisai) Foundation for International Transfer of Skills and Knowledge in Construction (FITS) will inform the host company of the date, time, location, etc. after accepting No. 1 Specified Skilled Worker, so please select the one that can be taken and take it.
