Information sessions on Specified Skilled Worker Program (Construction Field) will be held at five locations and online
It has been five years since the new employment-oriented residence status "Specified Skills" was established in April 2019. Is there anything about the Specified Skills system that is difficult to understand?
JAC will hold information sessions on Specified Skilled Worker Program (Construction Field) at five locations in Kanagawa, Aichi, Tokyo, Osaka, and Saitama from October 2024 to January 2025. In addition, an online session will be held on February 13th.
At the information session, we will introduce the latest status of acceptance of foreign human resources and the system. In addition, we will explain the "key points for creating an acceptance plan" that is necessary for the procedure of changing the status of residence, which is a frequently asked question. We will also provide the latest information on the establishment of the development employment system. Please take this opportunity to deepen your understanding.
The information session will be held in person, but on February 13th it will be held online so you can join from your office, field office or even while working remotely.

[Part I: Overview of specified skilled workers System (Construction Sector)] (20 mins)
We will introduce the latest situation regarding the acceptance of foreign human resources, taking into account the current situation of technical intern trainees working in the construction industry and future trends in the number of construction skilled workers. We will also explain the outline of the "specified skilled workers System" with examples of points to note and benefits when utilizing foreign human resources.
[Part II: Procedures for accepting specified skilled workers etc.] (approximately 30 minutes)
The construction industry has unique requirements for Specified Skills that are not found in other industries. Accepting companies must have their acceptance plans certified, which meet requirements such as joining JAC, registering with Construction Career Up System, and being employed on a monthly salary basis. In Part II, we will clearly explain the key points to consider when creating this acceptance plan and provide an overview of JAC's business, with examples.
[Part III: Establishment of a development employment system, etc.] (Approximately 20 minutes)
A new type of residence status called "development employment" has been established with the aim of developing and securing human resources through employment. We will provide you with the latest information on evaluation methods for human resource development, transfers, etc.
