Regarding the upcoming implementation schedule of The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam in the construction field

We would like to inform you that from January 2024, in addition to The Specified Skills (i) Evaluation Exam, The Specified Skills (ii) Evaluation Exam will be held in Japan.

Applications will be accepted starting Friday, December 8th.

• January 15th, 22nd, 29th Tokyo (JAC Test Office)
• January 24th and 25th: Osaka (Osaka Prefectural Labor Center)
• January 31st: Ehime (Ehime Prefectural Gender Equality Center)

skills evaluation exam can be taken once a month by selecting the date, venue and test category (Civil Engineering No. 1, Architecture No. 1, Lifelines and Facilities No. 1, Civil Engineering No. 2, Architecture No. 2, Lifelines and Facilities No. 2).

The program has been underway in Indonesia and the Philippines since July of this year.

Additionally, starting in December, trials will be conducted in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
Reservations are scheduled to begin around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29th.
We then plan to implement the program in Myanmar and Nepal once preparations are complete.

We are also holding a seminar in Indonesia.
The purpose of the seminar is to increase understanding of Japan's construction industry and motivation to work, primarily among young people living in Indonesia who are interested in Japan, and to encourage them to take The Specified Skills (i) Evaluation Exam.

As one of the requirements for certification of the construction Specified Skills acceptance plan, the accepting company and Specified Skilled Worker (i) must register with Construction Career Up System (CCUS).

Starting this fiscal year, JAC is providing "CCUS charge support" to help businesses that employ specified skilled workers cover the costs of administrator ID usage fees and skills assessment fees for specified skilled workers.

The administrator ID usage fee has been paid to The Construction Industry Promotion Foundation (CCUS Secretariat), and the skill evaluation fee for Specified Skilled Worker (i) has been paid to Federation of Construction Contractors Associations (Secretariat of the Council for the Promotion of Construction Skilled Workers’ Ability Evaluation). JAC will pay the full amount to the accepting company at a later date.

We are pleased to announce that we have started accepting applications from November 15th.

In order to help create a workplace that is easy for specified skilled workers to work in, JAC holds courses for Japanese employees on coexistence with foreign nationals. To date, JAC has held courses that have provided a wide range of information to help Japanese employees understand not only the culture and customs of Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, but also their attractions and points to consider.

Future events are scheduled for December 14th (Myanmar), January 18th (Nepal), and February 15th (Thailand). (People other than JAC member companies are also welcome to participate.)
