Regarding the upcoming implementation schedule of The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam in the construction field

We would like to inform you that from January 2024, in addition to The Specified Skills (i) Evaluation Exam, The Specified Skills (ii) Evaluation Exam will be held in Japan.

Applications will be accepted starting Friday, December 8th.

• January 15th, 22nd, 29th Tokyo (JAC Test Office)
• January 24th and 25th: Osaka (Osaka Prefectural Labor Center)
• January 31st: Ehime (Ehime Prefectural Gender Equality Center)

skills evaluation exam can only take the exam once a month by selecting the date, venue, and test category (No. 1 Civil Engineering, No. 1 Architecture, No. 1 Infrastructure Facilities Equipment, No. 2 Civil Engineering, No. 2 Architecture, No. 2 Infrastructure Facilities Equipment).

The program has been underway in Indonesia and the Philippines since July of this year.

Additionally, starting in December, trials will be conducted in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
Reservations are scheduled to begin around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29th.
We then plan to implement the program in Myanmar and Nepal once preparations are complete.

We are also holding a seminar in Indonesia.
The purpose of the seminar is to increase understanding of Japan's construction industry and motivation to work, primarily among young people living in Indonesia who are interested in Japan, and to encourage them to take The Specified Skills (i) Evaluation Exam.

As part of the Specified Skilled Worker Acceptance Plan in the construction field certification requirements, the host company and Specified Skilled Worker (i) must register with the Construction Career Up System (CCUS).

Starting this fiscal year, JAC will support the cost of the administrator ID usage fee and the Specified Skilled Worker 's ability evaluation fee for businesses that employ Specified Skilled Worker as a "CCUS charge support".

The administrator ID usage fee will be paid to the The Construction Industry Promotion Foundation (CCUS Secretariat) and the Specified Skilled Worker (i) competency evaluation fee will be paid to the Federation of Construction Contractors Associations (Secretariat of the Council for the Promotion of Construction Skilled Workers’ Ability Evaluation) at a later date from JAC to the host company.

In order to support the creation of a comfortable workplace for Specified Skilled Worker, JAC has held a course for foreign coexistence for Japan employees, and so far we have held courses that allow people to understand not only the culture and customs of Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, but also the attractiveness and considerations of a wide range of people.

Future events are scheduled for December 14th (Myanmar), January 18th (Nepal), and February 15th (Thailand). (People other than JAC member companies are also welcome to participate.)
