外国人共生講座2月15日 第6回タイを知る

[Free online course] A must-see for companies considering hiring Thai people! Get to know Thailand, the land of smiles!

The first evaluation test for the construction sector in Thailand will be conducted from December 2023.

Thailand, a perpetual summer country located in the center of Southeast Asia, has a population of approximately 66 million and an area 1.4 times that of Japan. More than 90% of the population are Buddhists and the Thai royal family is highly valued. The country is also famous for being an environment where LGBT people can live naturally. One of the great attractions of the country is its pious yet relaxed atmosphere.

There are over 5,800 Japanese companies operating in Thailand, and the country is attracting attention from the Japanese business community. Why not deepen your understanding of the history, culture, religious views, and customs of Thailand before considering accepting foreign workers into the country? The course will be taught by an experienced lecturer who has worked in Thailand and is well versed in dealing with Thai staff. You can ask the lecturer questions directly in the Q&A corner.

Cooperative Forward

Armed with the English he learned as a student, he traveled to Thailand alone in 2016, but was defeated by the language barrier. Without giving up, he made full use of his poor language skills and worked as a trading company salesman at a local company, conducting business with various countries. He returned to Japan in September 2021 and is currently working in management at Forward Cooperative. He will share the charms of Thailand based on his own experience.

Recommended for:

  • Those who are thinking about accepting foreigners but are unsure which country to choose
  • Those who don't know how to communicate
  • Those who can't imagine working with foreigners

Even in Japan, if you were raised in a different environment, it can be hard to understand something. What's more, if you come from a different country, the customs, culture, and religion are all different, so it's only natural that your inclinations and thoughts will be different.
In order to reach an agreement with such a person, mutual understanding is necessary. And by building a relationship of trust, the training, utilization, and retention of foreigners will improve significantly, and they will grow into an important asset for your company.

This year, we at JAC are holding this course free of charge as part of an initiative to help create workplaces that are easy for specified skilled workers to work in, including helping to facilitate communication at the workplace and in everyday life.
