1. Study Overview

The system for accepting specified skilled workers in the construction sector was launched in April 2019, and currently, The Specified Skills Evaluation Exam are being conducted in three categories.
To obtain the status of residence of Specified Skilled Worker (i), you need to pass The Specified Skills (i) Evaluation Exam and also pass the Japanese language test. To obtain the status of residence of Specified Skilled Worker (ii), you need to pass The Specified Skills (ii) Evaluation Exam and also have work experience as a team leader or foreman for a period of time (0.5 to 3 years) specified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism .For details about the acceptance system for specified skilled workers please refer to the "Acceptance of specified skilled workers" page
